Tanami Desert Road

Mara Mara delivered significant upgrades and repairs to the Tanami Desert Road, a critical infrastructure project that plays a crucial role in the supply chain logistics to Western Australia, the Northern Territory, South Australia and New South Wales. The project was executed with a strong emphasis on local engagement and community development, with up to 80% of the workforce consisting of local Indigenous team members from the Shire of Halls Creek and the respective Indigenous communities. Training and equipping all team members was a crucial driving factor in this project’s success, ensuring an ongoing positive impact on the region’s local communities.
